At present, the research of seismic resistant and seismic isolation are mostly inhigh-rise, supraclusion and big span structure, rarely in rural buildings. But now, ourcountry is still a agricultural country and a large number of people still focused inunderdeveloped rural areas. In recent years, earthquakes are frequently happened inthis areas, caused Serious loss of the people’s lives and properties. Therefore, providemethod of cheap and effective seismic resistant technology is of great significance.Firstly, this paper introduced two seismic technologies of the Steel-asphaltcomposite isolation technique and the HPFL strip reinforcement technique, which withthe characteristics of economic, simple and reliablecarried. also carried simulated test on fullscale rural dwellings of masonry model on a simplified self-made shaking table, The mainidea of experiment and analysis are conducted as follows:1.The Steel-asphalt composite isolation pier has been made according to zhecorrelation theory. And the present study has also carried isolation experiment on a full scalerural dwellings of one layer and two layer masonry model, observed the dynamic responseof the masonry model, verified its simplified calculation theory. The result shows that:When different peak values of the loading condition are inputting, the isolation pier Systemgets well damping effects because a majority of energy has been absorbed by the isolationpier especially to high frequency loading wave and the upper building become thewhole lateral movement. Finally tables of the mass of isolation steel by different freelength are given for Convenient to the design and construction using Steel-asphaltcomposite isolation theory.2.In view of the universal present situation where general rural buildings have lowearthquake resistance ability, we carried a aseismic simulated test on a low strengthmasonry model. Based on the characteristics of the damage feature, strengthening themasonry model using HPFL strips by degrees. Tables of HPFL strips reinforcementstructure for different seismic intensity were given for reference to design and construction.
