Polypropylene-Engineered Cementitious Composite (PP-ECC) technology is amethod used in reinforcement of usual structure types such as masonry structure andconcrete structure. This method has been extensively used in engineeringstrengthening field because of its advantages. But the reinforcement industry has nofield detecting standard for PP-ECC. In order to make better detecting, this paperstudies the application of Post-install Pull-out Method for PP-ECC.By simulating the fact circs of project reinforcement, an experimental study bypost-installed pull-out method was conducted on the evaluation of strength ofpolypropylene-engineered cementitious composite with five strength grades. Thearticle compared the pullout force of PP-ECC with steel mesh to that without steelmesh. The effect of different steel mesh spacing on pullout force was studied. Thefeasibility in practical project of the method was analyzed. Text results have indicatedthat there is a significant linear correlation between the pullout force of PP-ECC andits compressive strength. The pullout force changes with the steel mesh spacing. Thepost-installed pullout method has a widespread ability in project reinforcement areaand the method meets the demand of practical project.On the basis of observation and analysis in the experiment, the paper analyzesthe mechanism of mortar matrix fracture in the process, concludes that the produceand development of cracks and failure face arise from the combination of shear stressand tensile stress, analyzes the Influencing factors of Post-install Pull-out Methodfrom the views of test equipment, material and human factors. Under the base ofabove, summarizes the key points in detecting process with this method.Conducting the rebound test, through experimental data analysis, this articleanalyzes the feasibility and accuracy of the rebounding method as a method indetecting PP-ECC compression strength. Text results have indicated that therebounding method has poor stability when detecting PP-ECC compression strength,and the rebounding method is not recommended for the spot inspectionFinally, in order to popularize use of this method in application fields, the papertakes the application of Post-install Pull-out Method in practical project for example,states its applies efficiency.
