In recent years, with the more understanding of ozone depletion and the Greenhouse effect, the search for the environment-friendly alternative refrigerant is becoming a trend in the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry. R161is one of HFCs with a good environmental performance, whose ODP is0and GWP is12. The research on the refrigerant properties includes a lot of aspects, the compatibility between R161/oil and materials is just one of them. The research of the compatibility between Rl61/oil and materials mainly study two types of change after the immersion of the refrigerant/oil, which are the nature change of materials and the property change of refrigerant/oil. The main research contents of this article are as follows:1. Define the research background and significance of the compatibility between the alternative refrigerant and materials in refrigeration system. A lot of domestic and foreign research results are also reviewed in this article.2. Introduce some commonly used experimental apparatus and methods of the research of compatibility at home and abroad.3. Design and construct a new experimental device to study the compatibility between R161/oil and the plastics, rubber. Compare it with the existing devices and find out their respective advantages and disadvantages.4. Study the compatibility of pure R161, R161/POE, R161/PAG with five kinds of plastics and three rubber. Obtain the experimental data. 5. Analysis the experimental data, give out the judgment of the material compatibility.
