Asphalt is used widely in pavement, airfield and architecture etc. But it is deficient in some facets such as the asphalt temperature susceptibility in a big way, the pavement build with the asphalt often becomes tender in the summer and sends the crisp dehiscence in the winter. To above-mentioned problem, we must improve asphalt and asphalt mixture usage performance. Using polymer to modify asphalt has been avoidable method and a developing direction to mend the application performance of asphalt. And waste rubber powder modified asphalt has been popular used and deeply studied worldwide because of its abundance, cheapness, simple technic and elimination of black pollution.The paper show that adding the rubber powder in the asphalt is one of the effective ways of realizing this goal to make and disperse the even modified asphalt, the problem of temperature sensitivity could be resolved. The paper use the wet processing. A large number of experiments were conducted on the topic of rubber modified asphalt. We analyse the influence of modified agent, the influencing factor and the mechanics of the asphalt by macroscopic performance and microscopic. Through researching the fundamental property of asphalt and rubber powder, we have studied rubber powder asphalt mixture's classification, composition and structure. Through the performance test of the rubber powder modified asphalt, we have studied the craft of mixing the rubber powder and asphalt, have confirmed the best mixing temperature, the best powder amount of rubber and stability additive kind, have confirmed more rational mixing time.Through combining this subject's actual conditions and past experience, we have set up:With content of rubber powder increase, low temperature prolong degree of asphalt increases, the asphalt's softening point has improved obviously, and the penetration degree reduces.The test proves that the content of the rubber powder is relatively good in 15%, the better mix temperature is about 160 degrees Centigrade, and more rational mixing time is about half an hour.
