With the rapid increase in automobile ownership in China, the accident rate is rising rapidly, and bring serious harm to people’s lives and property. the collision avoidance alarm System as an important part of intelligent transportation, has early warning and real time features, can effectively reduce the occurrence of traffic crashes.According to the characteristics of drivers behavior as the theoretical foundation, to build mathematical models of real-time, accurate and suitable for different driving characteristics of safe distance; Established based on DSP and MCU coordination treatment mechanism, give full play to the DSP information quickly the rapid implementation of features and MCU instructions advantage of the ability, in order to improve the effectiveness of the alarm; Finally, debugging experiment, verify the system’s accuracy, timeliness and practicality.First, according to individual driver driving behavior characteristicr, to identification the driver’s driving characteristics, through the design of acquisition circuit, on driving behavior real-time accurate acquisition, to realize the driving characteristics of the online correction.Secondly, according to identification of the driving characteristics and the condition of car-road-environmental factors, to establish the criticality safety mathematical models and the following mathematical models, with two models combine applied to the collision avoidance alarm system. Through car ranging sensor to detect the distance of the two vehicles, establish the data acquisition system, and get the vehicle sports information, to reveal warning control law under person-vehicle-road-environment.Then, with the microcontroller as the main chip, the system hardware and software design. The hardware design includes master control, Signal processing unit, information acquisition unit and the alarm display units, the software design includes the main program, the driving characteristics identification subroutines, the radar range subroutine, the safety model subroutine and the alarm display routines, to achieve the alarm system’s basic functions and design requirements.Finally, in the experimental platform of the system experiment debugging, verify the feasibility, timeliness and accuracy.
