The progress of the society makes people pay more attention on the application of the distributed generations. Researches have indicated that distributed generations connecting to the power gird in the form of microgrid can maximize their effectiveness, which points out a direction for their development. Now more and more distributed generations including photovoltaic panels, wind generators, micro-turbines which can generate the power by consuming the new and renewable energy are connected to the system. So how to choose the type and the size of them rationally becomes a problem in the architecture of microgrid. The paper focuses the work on the following aspects which are under the former theories summarized by the scholars in and aboard.From the economic perspective, this paper builds the optimal sizing combination of distributed generations in islanded microgrids. Also the reliability and the environmental benefits of the system are considered. Inner cost, carbon dioxide emission cost, heat compensation, power loss compensation and state subsidies are served as the objective function. The major parts of the investment are variable ones, which are closely related to the generation scheduling. So the total generated energy of each year is calculated under the economic power strategy which is adapted to the islanded mode. According to different power demand, search the final sizing combination of the distributed generations. The balance of power demand is also verified under them. And the installing characteristics of distributed generations in islanded microgrids and investment structures are analysed.Also an optimal sizing combination model of the distributed generations is built when microgrids are connected to the power grid. Inner cost, batteries rewards and power trading are especially considered in the objective function. The total generated energy of each year is calculated under this different economic power strategy which is adapted to the connected mode.. Finally get the optimal sizing combination of distributed generations. And the total cost and power supply are analyzed under the combination.
