Energy saving and consumption reducing is the eternal theme of development of the power industry. Reduce the energy consumption of thermal power plants has great significance for the promotion of national economic development. A huge of lower temperature exhaust water has not been effective use in the recycled water, while thermal power plants are facing the problem of how to expand heating capacity. It has great significance for energy saving and emission reduction and enhancing the heating capabilities for thermal power plant, which applied heat pump technology to extract condensing heat large-scaled for central heating. The main content of this paper is focused on operation optimization for cold end system of extraction condensing steam turbine incorporating absorption heat pump and economic analysis of coupling heating system. Firstly, it describes the working principle of absorption heat pump, analysis the feasibility of application of absorption heat pump for central heating in power plant, and then designs the heating program. Under the condition of constant speed pump, adjusting variable of cold-side parameters is the inlet condenser temperature and the impact of inlet condenser temperature to the steam turbine power is analyzed. The mathematical models of absorption heat pump, steam turbine and condenser under variant working conditions are established, and a optimized calculation program of cold end system for heating system incorporating absorption heat pump is proposed. Secondly, with300MW extraction-condensing units as an example, the condenser pressure, turbine power and income of plant and other economic index are calculated with established, the optimal parameters of cold end system are obtained. It analysis the characteristics of the two heating methods, and points out that the heat pump heating increases generated power through reducing the loss of some of the cold source compared with traditional combined heat and power generation. Finally, based on the principle of energy cascade utilization, the three-coupled heating program is proposed as the current heating parameters. Based on the economic analysis of coupled heating and the typical traditional model of one thermal network heater, the results show that three-coupled heating program can bring considerable economic benefits.
