In order to reproduce the fault process, this paper used two data sources including the SCADA system and fault information system comprehensivly to diagnose the fault of power system. Through the description of fault occurs, this paper organized the source data information. This paper reduced the failure process through the protective information model to find a reasonable explanation of the failure phenomenon, the formation of the chain of evidence to make it more consistent with logical thinking.The paper described the overall design idea to reproduce the failure process, summarized the three independent functions which have problems. The main contents:(1) This paper integrated and improved the original functions, developed a complete grid fault diagnosis system. The system could collect the fault information actively. The system also could use the conclusions of fault recording analysis to determine the faulty equipment. It could organize all the relevant fault information from each data source to form a chain of evidence.(2) This paper improved the original protection action logic model of110kV line and designed a transformer protection action logic model. It could organize some fault information which is from different data source and arrange the information according to causal logic and inference the false positives and false negatives information.(3) With programming by VC++, this paper realized the functions above, and verified the correctness of the software functions by testing actual grid fault cases.
