This paper studies the sliding mode of operation in the region of maximum wind power tracking control of wind turbine. First introduced in the wind turbine wind turbines operating mechanism, the model characteristics and its important parameters, and derive the establishment of non-linear model, the nonlinear part is mainly reflected in the uncertain part which is rotation speed and wind speed’s coupling. Then focused on the undetected of wind speed in sliding mode control strategies and methods. Design an optimal speed estimator, and illustrate the principle. Finally,used reaching law methods design controller.proved that the selection of the sliding surface can make the system stable.Simulation results show that with the speed predicted sliding mode controller can be a good track changes in rotor speed in order to achieve maximum wind energy capture.
