Urban New District Space Design Research Based On Urban Context Analysis

From the view point of researches for academics, the key to urban design is how to guarantee the interweave of kinds of urban lives from space arrangements. And the deep study on space design from the perspective of city context could provide deeper theoretical basis for urban design work. This paper based on the case study of Zhengdong New District, Zhengzhou City, searching for the expressions of the spirit of urban context in urban lives and space features. Hoping to discover the cogitation mode of the methods on urban space design from the perspective combined with Word view and Methodology, recognizing the shortage in it and propose corresponding advises.The thesis is divided into six chapters four parts. The first part includes Chapter1and2, provides the theoretical support for the full text as the paper argument with the introduction of the thesis elaborating the relationship of urban context and space design. The second part with the core of Chapter3, as the preliminary analysis, through making analysis on the urban context of Zhengzhou, divides it into two aspects of Physical form and Ideology form context to form complete understanding. Chapter4make deep analysis on urban space design for Zhengdong New District, based on the conclusion of Chapter3. The forth part making deep analysis of the reflection and critical researches about Zhengdong New District from urban context perspective. One side is based on Questionnaire-investigation, making analysis and conclusion of Psychology aspect from public view; the other side based on author’s living experience and investigation, makes critical researches from professional view with the combination of present situation of Zhengdong New District. Through the above content seeking the value of creating contextual urban space, and in Chapter6makes the conclusion for the total thesis and the prospect.There are about76thousands Chinese words and390illustrations in the thesis.
