Solar radiation is the main source of the Earth’s energy. With the absorption and utilization of solar energy on Earth, there gradually formed an ecological environment which is suitable for human survival as well as a variety of climate and environment. Constructions adapt to the environment availed human beings space for living, so that humans could be adapt to different climate from ice and snow to the summer heat.As one of the first building materials human have been used, adobe material is the most easy-to-derived materials, and because of its outstanding thermal insulation properties and the broad applicability, it was used throughout the world. So far1/3of the world’s population are still living in the adobe buildings. Adobe material is difficult to adapt to the demand for modern use. The strength of the adobe material is not too high, the biggest problem that Iimits its use is the low intensive use level. The only material with good thermal performance and compressive strength is adobe ordinary fired brick, but because of its irreversibility, it hascaused great damage on the environment of farmland.In this paper, we will make efforts to enhance the adobe materials of the two aspects of performance:heat insulation and thermal storage, and put forward two concepts of the heavy adobe regenerative materials and lightweight insulation adobe materials, the transformation of traditional adobe materials. Heavy mass regenerator material was high density, high coefficient of heat storage, and also has a higher strength. While lightweight thermal insulation material has low density, porosity, and has remarkable insulation properties.The use of heavy regenerative raw soil material and the lightweight insulation soil material is close contacted to the use of solar radiation. This paper studied the application of the severity of two adobe materials on Shangri-La Tibetan dwellings room renovation. Firstly ti finds out the defects of the thermal performance of the dwellings. Then make the research through the utilization of the severity of the two materials combined with the solar energy in the dwellings as solar room and the setting of the Trombe wall, use heavy adobe materials for heat storage and lightweight materials to enhance the insulation effect. Adobe material could be able to improve the efficiency of the use of solar energy effectively.
