As energy and environmental issues have become increasingly prominent, and the Chinese government issue the policy that reduces the use of fossil energy, then the wind power get more and more attention. There have a great rich of Wind power in China, wind power will be a growing in the portion of electricity. In the eastern region of Xinjiang, There have a large area so that the distance between the regional power grids is farther. Most of the power grid are wired long distance weak link. Town is smaller, the industry is rather weak, the load is relatively small, and the grid is relatively weak. In the eastern region of Xinjiang, there have contains more than one wind zone that are in remote areas. The wind farm is more connected to the grid at the end, changed the end of the power flow. But because the electric grid structure is weak, and the renewable energy law on the protection of the wind policy, making wind power" in a free state ", It made large scale wind power grid access, which has a great influence on the grid stability, whether in static grid voltage stability, or transient voltage stability are increasingly. In the power system analysis software package (PSASP) set up the eastern grid of Xinjiang, The use of the static voltage stability analysis method of P-V curve method, as well as setting fault in the wind farms, to power simulate calculation. The paper study static and transient voltage stability of the general asynchronous generator wind farms and doubly-fed induction generator wind farms. The research shows that static and transient performance of doubly-fed induction generator of wind farms is better than general asynchronous generator wind farms. And the paper analyzes the whole grid voltage stability. Research shows that there have little effect on wind farms access network in the present and the next few years. The paper researches influence that dynamic reactive compensation device (SVC, STATCOM) have affect on transient voltage stability of wind farms. And the results show that appropriate capacity of the SVC or STATCOM can improve the wind farms transient voltage stability.
