The sediment problem of reservoir is the heart issue which affects the used life of it. The water conservancyworkers have been studying and trying to solve the sediment erosion and deposition rule for a long time.The survey of the sediment erosion and deposition problem has transformed from quality to quantity, butthe survey of the relationship between the type of the reservoir, and the way of usage and the sediment ofthe reservoir region. In this article, we mainly studied the sediment erosion and deposition of the reservoirby different reservoir type, control level, and the diameter of sediment. We checked the sediment erosionand deposition scale of the reservoir region when the baishi reservoir suffered flood.The movement of the sediment is complex. There are so many the factors of influence. Most of the studiesbefore are surveyed by physics mold experiment. With the development of the computer, the method ofvalue imitate has been more and more widely used. We used the water power module and the silt module ofthe MIKE21software calculates the value of the sand in the reservoir region. Then we analyzed the resultsof it.The content and the result of this article are followed:(1)We classified the Large (I) type reservoir to river course type, lake type, branch type and mixed type bythe topography. We imitated the sand silting value under different situation. The we analyzed the influenceof the sediment erosion and deposition process by different reservoir type control level, and the diameter ofsediment It is showed that: the style of the reservoir has some certain influence to the water flow speed,water quantity, the sand transporting of the summit and the time of the summit. The diameter of thesediment influences the reservoir region sand transporting, the washing strength and the thickness of thesilting. The control level in the lower position of the reservoir has some certain relation with the flood flowquantity, sand summit and the concentration of the suspended load. It is also showed that the flood flowquantity, sand transporting of summit and the concentration of the suspended load are not in-phase.(2)We made correctly imitate of the process of the flood by the survey the Baishi reservoir. Then weanalyzed the influence of the process of the sand silting by analyzing the reservoir style and the methodused. It is showed that the sand summit is later than the flood summit in baishi reservoir; the concave bankis washed and the convex bank is silted at the curve of the reservoir course; the possibility of lift theanti-flood limited water level and the reservoir sediment erosion and deposition rule by the differentreservoir type.
