Study On The Planting Design Of Zhejiang Classical Private Gardens

"Jiangnan garden is unparelled under heaven", the classical private garden in Zhejiang province is an exceptional one of Jiangnan classical garden. Plants as the only element with live plays a vital role in classical gardens,because of showing the regional characteristic of the traditional private garden and reflects the different private gardens landscape characteristics.This research is based on the analysis of references and the investigation of typical private classical gardens in Zhejiang Province, contrasts and analyses the history evolution ang plant landscape of Zhejiang. The research results were as follows:(1) Zhejiang classical gardens of the historical evolution may be divided into five times,which include sprout times,generatiton times,establish times,high times, substation times,and its private garden along with the development of it, sprout in its generatiton,grow up in its establishment, develop in its spring tide and mature in its duration. Guozhuang,Shenyuan, Qiyuan,Xiaolianzhuang are typical representative of them.(2) Zhejiang classical private garden plant landscape have unique characteristic since ancient times, it shows artislic planting way; the plentiful species, the notable season; diversified configuration approach; and plants as space conversion media; contains ecological wisdom etc.(3) Zhejiang classical private garden has plentiful plant species,there are41families,68generas and75specieses in major quadrats of Guozhuang,Shenyuan,Qiyuan,Xiaolianzhuang,and each garden has its own characteristic.(4) Plant diversity level is good. The tree layer density of plant community has caused, show the configuration skills which of "dew" and "hide",and the shrub layer density is almost during0.1to0.5plant/m2,because its design propose is for ornament. The crown density mostly between0.5and0.7,which is objective and reasonable.The plant landscape shows favorable and notable Seasonal aspect.(5) Zhejiang pay much attention to the protection of its classical traditional private garden, in recent years,they do a large-scale restoration and reconstruction work, but the recovery of zhejiang classical private garden plant scenery and historical records are still have some gap, especially the plant landscape culture connotation and artistic conception aspects should be completed and even innovation.
