Research On The Application Of Plants In Western Classical Garden

Plants are an important part of the garden and an important material for gardening.In the process of application,Western classical garden plants have left many outstanding achievements with the characteristics of the times and regions.The research on the history and experience of the development and utilization of Western classical garden plants can inspire us.The research took the species and application of Western classical garden plants as the object.Through the sorting of archaeological materials such as tomb murals,tomb models,inscriptions,floor paintings,container paintings,reliefs,clay engravings,mosaic paintings,garden relics,ancient books,texts and manuscript illustrations,combined with the investigation of relevant literature at home and abroad and the analysis of Western Garden examples,it combed out From ancient times to the middle ages,then to Renaissance Italy,17th century France and 18th century England,the evolution of plant application in the process of garden development.Through sorting out and summarizing the research contents,it is concluded that in the process of the application of classical western garden plants,plant selection is from practicability to ornamental,planting ratio layout is from planarization to three-dimensional,application form is from single type to compound type,applied varieties are from local development to foreign introduction,plant application is from scattered viewing to centralized display,and garden plants can be compared with natural conditions The characteristics of coordination,conformity with people’s needs,correspondence with other elements and sublimation of garden connotation.It also inspires us to develop and protect garden plant resources reasonably,improve utilization rate of plant resources,integrate national cultural characteristics,improve relevant theories and cultivate professional talents.In a word,it is hoped that through this study,people can further understand the development of western garden plant resources in terms of selection,domestication,cultivation and application,and provide useful inspiration for the protection,development and utilization of garden plant resources in China.
