The dynamic behaviors of the underground structures are quite different from those ofthe above ground structures, naturally determined by the special environments around. In thepresent thesis the effects of three main factors on the dynamic response of the undergroundstructure have been investigated, based on the damaged situation of Dakai station which wasseverely damaged in the Kobe earthquake and as well on the real soil conditions in which thestation was located, and by using the finite element analysis software ABAQUS. The threefactors are the burying depth of the structure, the size of the structure, and the characteristicsof earthquake waves, and so the key idea is to fix the effect of variation of single factor.Comparisons show that in common cite conditions increasing the burying depth will increasethe safety of the structure, that the ratio of height to length of structure has a great effect onstructure response, and that larger seismic incident angle leads to lower horizontal componentof earthquake excitation and less structure dynamic response. In addition to the investigationsof the effects of the above-mentioned three factors, the thesis also aims to obtain theacceptable value spans of the three factors, which can provide reference to the practicalconstructions.
