In China, with rapid economic growth in the country, the exposed of energyshortage and environmental pollution can’t been ignored, building energy efficiency hasbeen raised to an unprecedented height. For district cooling and multi-stage pumpvariable flow distribution system have a lot of research, in this paper, the OlympicVillage project is the study background, for on-site transmission and distribution systemto make the test, recording and analysis, for the system’s energy-saving operation toprovide a transformation of recommendations. The artic le first chapter reviews the multi-stage pump and district cooling system’sresearch situation and the problems; The second chapter describes the multi-stage pumpsystem which compared to traditional centralized systems have many advantages ofhydraulic stability and energy efficiency; The third chapter describes the paralleloperation pumps’ control strategy and high efficient track of the pumps’ running, foron-site the system’s operation to provide a theoretical basis; Finally, we analyze the testand operating data, determine to use the comb ination of the ma in-cycle fixed-frequencypump and mixture circulated variable-frequency pump, the new method can save energyat least78%compared to the existing one, and increases the water flow of the end user,be conducive to the system hydraulic stability. For the multi-stage pump transmission and distribution system, should not bediscussion of the applicability and the non-applicability of this approach one-sided, butshould analyze specific issues, specific projects propose specific solutions. Districtcooling system has a good energy efficiency in certain circumstances, the traditionaldistribution system’s actual energy consumption proportion is vevy high for the entiredistrict cooling system energy consumption, but the multi-stage pump transmission anddistribution system can save a lot of transportation energy consumption, improve theenergy efficiency of district cooling system.
