Alternating current speed contral technology is the key link of electrification energy to be saved. Matrix converter has many good properties which compare with a traditional inverter, such as sinusoidal input and output property, close one of the input power factor, pollution-free power grid, compact structure, energy of two-way circulation, the load with four quadrant operation, etc. It is very appropriate to apply matrix converte to AC motor speed control field, it can not only achieve good transmission performance, but aslo can meet increasingly stringent power quality requirements. Main contents are below:First of all, to propose the typical topology structure and work principle of the three phase-three phase matrix converter. The matrix converter algorithm modulation basic strategy is analysised deeply. It is discussesed for double space vector modulation algorithm based on the virtual equivalent thought. Matrix converter voltage utilization rate is calculated on the basis of it. At the same time the safe commutation strategies of half softening four steps are introduced in this paper. Simulation results show the excellent properties of matrix converter.In the second place, to propose working principle based on rotor field-oriented vector control speed system. The coordinate transformation theory and the dynamic mathematical model of induction motor are analyzed. The simulation model of variable frequency speed regulation system is established in MATLAB software simulation. Each child module of the control system working principle and modeling process are expounded. The system regulating performance is simulated under different working conditions. The results show that the rotor field-oriented vector control speed regulation system can keep the steady precision and has good dynamic performance. The basic argument contents are provided for subsequent papers.Once again, to propose speed regulation system combined control strategy based on the asynchronous motor vector of matrix converter. The system controllers are designed and the simulation model of the system is established in the MATLAB simulation platform. The transmission characteristics of speed regulation system are simulated. The simulation results show that the combined control strategy of matrix converter speed system can realize better speed regulation of asynchronous motor and it can satisfy the speed requirements.Finally, to propose speed regulation system performance between speed regulation system based on matrix converter and variable frequency speed regulation system. The conclusion is that transmission performance is same between combined control strategy speed regulation system and variable frequency speed regulation system. Matrix converter ensure the high power factor on input side, less harmonic, high power quality, and can improve dynamic and static transmission properties of the speed regulation system. It is helpful for energy saving.
