Passive evaporation cooling technique is one of the mainstays of Natural Harmony, whichis an important means of realizing improvement of quality of the environment and reducingenergy consumption by utilizing a series of effect that results by Natural Harmony.Researchon the applicability of passive evaporation cooling technique mean to search for the alternateenergy sources for building and environment.Passive evaporation cooling technique is used more common and more type inroof, howeber, has not been well developed in using in the wall for the immature of correlativetheory and the limiting of outward appearance.Porous material is in a rare use in wall’spassive evaporation cooling, except of the ancient oyster shell wall and water scene wallwhich is decorative but high cost.Furthermore, the complexity of thermal and wet propertiesof wet porous materials caused the slowness of development and application of passiveevaporation cooling technique. With the above problems, based on the passive evaporation cooling theory, this paperintroduce a porous material veneered building construction, which is appropriate for wallevaporative cooler. The paper will establish the research method of porous material veneeredbuilding construction by developping a testing box of water absorbing capacity and usinghot-humid climatic wind tunnel.Parameters of wet porous material veneered buildingconstructions are obtained through a series of research and development. Finally, equivalentthermal resistances and other basic data is given by theory analysis.Main achievements of this paper are:1. Develop a testing box of water absorbing capacity and obtain porous bricks’ waterabsorbing capacity curve and the maximum water absorption.2. Research on porous material veneered building construction in hot-humid climaticwind tunnel and establishs an experimental method which is reliable and reproducible.3. Obtain a large stock of basic data about porous material veneered buildingconstructions through experiments in wind tunnel in reproducible weather condition.4. Based on the double-hest flow meter method, in combination of experiments in windtunnel to abtain available basic data. This paper is aim at providding basic data for further research of passive evaporationcooling theory and theory basis for preparation of standards. From a piece of brike, this paper reflects the significant measure to improve the interiormicro-climate of buildings by Natural Harmony, which provides theory basis for people to explore the rational use of natural resources and use low-energy-waste technology,in order tocreate a healthy and comfortable living environment. It is of profound significance for energyand environmental protection problems.
