Stage acoustics is very important to both the audience and the performers. The wellacoustical conditions on stage can inspire the playing mood of musicians and conductor andmake them work better. Therefore, it’s necessary to study the affecting factors on stage.Stagesupport which contains STearly、 STlateand STtotal, is relatively mature objective parameter.STearlywith preferred value of-12±1dB is used for assessing ensemble conditions andconditions for orchestra hearing each other, STlateis used for describing the impression ofreverberation and STtotalwith preferred value of-8~-12dB is used for describing support fromthe musian’s own instrument. The thesis presents a series impulse response measurements for calculating ST on1:10scale model of Tianjin Cultural Centre Concert Hall. Firstly, to find the sound absorptionproperties of corresponding frequency bands of the musicians and their chairs, measurementswas done in1:10scale reverberation chamber. Then, stage acoustic conditions with9kindssidewalls、 rearwall and detached reflectors of enclosure settings were also studied byimpulse response experiments in the1:10hall. The data were statistically analyzed to learnthe effects of virous treatments of stage walls、heights of detached reflectors. The resultsdemonstrate that musicians、chairs and music stands make obvious effects on support value, the changing rules with and without musians on their chairs on those above situations arebasically the same, the increase of the scattering coefficient of the stage wall and the reduce ofreflectors height are beneficial to the musicians mutual hearing and can improve reverberationand ensemble. With strong sound-absorbing material pasting on the stage wall, stage supportshows a downward trend, but it can be used to improve the selfhearing of percussion andbrass performers.Considered the accuracy of simulation results and ease of the model, when making theroom sound field three-dimensional computer simulation, the establishment of computersimulation musicians、their chairs and music stands can be modeled as auditorium seatingarea, which is, give the absorption coefficient and scattering coefficient to the stage surfacewithout establish the details of the seat and music stand model. The stage floor with andwithout rising was also studied. It is shown that the rising of the stage has a positive impacton ST values.
