Along with the increasingly enlargement of the scale of power system and the powersupply reliability demand unceasing increase, the system voltage and reactive powerregulation are also more and more frequently. Capacitor reactive power compensationequipment availability is an important index of production. Whereas previous powercapacitor detection methods usually for overhaul, influence production also causes thecapacitor is not available, weaken the power system voltage and reactive powercompensation control. And power test are in an effectively eliminate outside interferenceenvironments, and may not accurately reflect the running state of the capacitor insulatingstatus and its development trend. Has great limitations. Therefore to realize the onlinemonitoring technology of power capacitor, power capacitor to grasp accurately the real-timeoperation state, when necessary, can provide alarm and fault diagnosis. So as to avoid thefault and even further and led to more serious accidents and unnecessary loss occurred,effectively guide the capacitor optimal repair time, the sense is great and far-reaching.This paper presents a complete and convenient field implementation of onlinemonitoring technology for power system before, will focus on the common faults of powercapacitors and its reason to undertake an analysis, reach breakdown mechanism. Then thecomprehensive analysis and comparison of various types of power capacitor on-linemonitoring instruments, to focus on the analysis of on line monitoring PD signal is obtained,capacitance, dielectric loss angle, temperature detection data, and a variety of effectivedetection method of data obtained, through the transverse, longitudinal approach correctlydiagnosed the real-time operation state of power capacitor, to achieve on-line monitoringpurpose. Through the system implementation of the scene and the charging operation, thatruns experience but also with the actual proposed improvement ideas and suggestions for thefurther optimization of the system, provide the basis for the future, the implementation of the" state maintenance" to provide valuable experience.
