The city’s development commits to its expansion. At for the present large scale expansion of the city, the perfect fusion of the traditional culture and the modern style, the mutual learning and communication both influence the design of the Pedestrian Street.In this thesis, the course of the commercial pedestrian street, traditional element and the environment of modern commercial Pedestrian Street are studied, by which, the development of the modern city’s commercial pedestrian street could be understood in a comprehensive, systematic and deep way. Based on the traditional elements, the culture in the commercial pedestrian street and its historical significance is fully elaborated. Besides, this thesis makes a good application of the traditional culture in the city culture and the definitions of commercial pedestrian street are detailed, so that the ingenious correlation and application between the both, which is of great significance to the rebuilding and historical inheritance of the city.
