Research On The Line-to-ground Fault Location Technology Of HV Transmission Line

Transmission line’s fault occurs regularly in power system. Transmission line’s fault harm the power system stability and safe operation of power system caused a huge impact.Accurately and quickly locating transmission line faults will short the faulting time, and the economic cost of power transmission line’s cut. Therefore, transmission line-to-ground fault location is an important measure to promise the power system safety and economy. And have huge social and economic efficiency.This text according to the characteristics of the transmission line-to-ground fault location, analyzes the transient state processing of the power system, the cause of the fault traveling wave, and the equivalent model of fault traveling wave. The paper analyzed the way of traveling wave fault location of the transmission lines at present. Traveling wave is the mutation and singularity signal. The method utilizes sufficiently properties of wavelet transform withdraw the fault traveling wave.According to the equivalent model build up the simulation model and simulate by MATLAB. Pass the wavelet transform to get the result. The same time, the positioning method for the theoretical foundation to build a DSP-based hardware circuit to produce an equivalent model line, and the collected data were analyzed.This subject is valuable for both application and theory. And it is meaningful to transmission line’s stable and safety.
