The technique of hybrid power and energy recovery successful using in auto field makes the new thinking for hydraulic excavator research of energy-saving. In a classical working cycle of hydraulic excavator, swing system occupies a great proportion of time, energy spending and heat dissipation, which is the first choice to research energy recovery. Basing on theory、simulation and experiment, this thesis has a research about energy recovery system of hydraulic excavator swing braking. The main work as follow:Situation of normal hydraulic excavator’s swing system energy saving is summarized. And there also introduces the modern study condition of hybrid excavator’s energy recovery system. It analyzes the composition of structure、working principle and moving character about normal hydraulic excavator swing system.An energy recovery system is advanced that is based on fixed hydraulic motor-generator-nickel-hydrogen battery. And its design of holistic scheme is dissertated. Basing on meeting the braking performance of swing system, the main components’parameters of energy recovery system is set. Simulation model of it is created by AMESim software.A simulation analysis is made to the work condition of zero export torque of recovery generator. The moving characters braking character of swing and energy distributing of motor, using for energy recovery, is analyzed in process of swing braking. Aiming at switch recognition matter of swing working state, a recognizing measure that refers to variety character of pilot swing pressure is put forward. Through theory analysis, corresponding relation equation between recovery generator torque and outlet of swing motor. Relating to working condition characters of swing braking, an integrated control measure is built about energy recovery system of swing braking.A experiment platform is created when researching seven tons hydraulic excavator swing braking energy recovery system. The experiment about character and efficiency of swing braking system has been taken. Its results stress that the system can realize the swing braking and energy recovery when it is braking, The results showed that27.8%energy recovery rate in the no-load of the single-rotation condition.
