The advantage of the additive pipe pressure water supply technology is obvious,but the lack of theoretical support in practical applications, make some cities verycautious about the technology. In order to regulate the application of additive pipepressure water supply technology,by taking the water supply system of Shenzhen asthe research object,we can study that:(1) The rule of interaction between additivepipe pressure water supply and municipal network is analyzed by the experiments ofJichangsushe and Donghuliyuan pump station.(2) The feasibility of the additive pipepressure water supply in Shenzhen is based on the EPANET hydraulic model.(3)Comparing the impact of water supply quality between additive pipe pressure watersupply and traditional water supply according to the actual measurement, especiallythe water quality in steady flow tank.(4) Comparing the energy consumption level ofthe different secondary pressurization water supply facilities and analyzing theenergy saving potential, then improving the additive pipe pressure water supplytechnology for the purpose of energy conservation.(5) Analyzing the advantages andshortages of different additive pipe pressure water supply based on the practicalinvestigation, as the basis of choosing a proper device.(6) By analyzing the rule ofthe Urban Water Supply pressure, we can define the allowable pressure drop value.These following conclusions are obtained:(1)The affect of additive pipepressure water supply on municipal network is smaller than that of traditionalsecondary water supply; and slow change of urban water pressure will not affect theoperation of additive pipe pressure water supply device, but wide fluctuation ofmunicipal pressure will lead to supply pressure instability; the municipal waterpressure will be stable during pump starting, but stopping the pump abruptly andsubsequent rapid changes in flow will result in water hammer which will threaten thesecurity of water supply, so the water hammer protection measuresare necessary.(2)The water supply network of Shenzhen has the characteristics oflow velocity, high pressure, and it is a multi-source water supply system, which arepropitious to additive pipe pressure water supply device.(3)The water quality ofadditive pipe pressure water supply is better than others.(4)After the Donghuliyuanand Jichangsushe pump stations switched to use addictive pipe pressure water supplyfacilities, the average energy consumption level decreased by56%and30% respectively, it proved that the additive pipe pressure water supply method has a goodperformance in energy saving, and adopting the new water-supply method,“frequency additive pipe pressure water supply&high water storage tank” cangenerate to the best energy saving efficiency.(5)The steady flow tank which withoutbuffer medium can’t reduce pressure fluctuation, the high pressure chamber of steadyflow tank has great influence on water quality,so the steady flow tank is not fit foradditive pipe pressure water supply device.(6)Each operating pump should quip withindependent frequency converter and confirm the lowest available urban water supplypressure by actual measurement, which can avoid motor overload and improve thesecurity of system.
