Characteristics Analysis Of Air Conditioner Load And Research On Its Impact On Voltage Stability

Power system voltage stability is one of the focus of the power engineering field,the early voltage stability studies use static analysis method based on flow equationswithout taking into account the component dynamic characteristics of the power sys-tem voltage stability. Later, people gradually became aware of that the relevant fac-tors of the dynamic characteristics may cause voltage instability and we must use thedynamic analysis methods to distinguish the system voltage stability. Air conditionerload has a large impact load on voltage stability, but research on air conditioner loadon voltage stability has not formed a relatively complete and detailed study, it is n e-cessary to have a further comprehensive study of the impact of the air conditionerload on the voltage stability.Firstly, through searching relevant information literature and the experimentaldata, this paper analyzes and summarizes the air conditioner load characteristics.According to load data and temperature data of a city in2010, we calculate the pro-portion of the air conditioner load of different industries. Combined with the existingmodel of the air conditioner load in the normal state, we establish two types model ofair conditioner load based on the air conditioner load characteristics. Finally, the pa-per uses the IEEE10machine39bus system to simulate and analyze the impact of airconditioner load on voltage stability.The simulation results show that the model of air conditioner load match with theair conditioner load characteristics; and the higher the proportion air conditioner loadof the load node is, the smaller node load limit is, the higher the corresponding nodevoltage, the worse dynamic voltage stability of the system is; during their recoveryprocess, the air conditioner without voltage protection will have a huge impact thesystem.
