Coal resources will continue to be in the lead in our country’sindustrial boiler energy field in the future for a long time. But there areusually low operation efficiency and high pollutantion emissions problems inthe traditional coal-fired industrial boilers technology because of their owncharacteristics. Directly burning clean pulverized coal in a industrial boiler isa good way to solve the above problems. However, inorder to realize cleanpulverized coal burning directly in industrial boiler, a new type of pulverizedcoal industrial boiler burner must be developed. The research of this articlewas based on a high efficient pulverized coal industry boiler burner. Thecombustion characteritic of the burner was thoroughly discussed afernumerical simulation and experimental study.Firstly, the design of a high efficiency and enveronmental protectionpulverized coal industry boiler burner was completed. Meanwhile, a system ofpulverized coal industry boiler that used for the burning texting of the burnerwas designed. This system contains fuel supply system, blower and induceddraft fans system, boiler burning system, water supply and treatment systemand ash system.Then the influence of secondary air swirl strength and boiler load changeon the combustion characteritic of the burner was studied by numericalsimulation method. The results indicated that with the growth of secondary airswirl strength, flow field temperature level and NOXemissions is improved,but flow field oxygen concentration decreased. However, fuel burn rate washighest when secondary air swirl strength was2.14. on the other side, theburner can still maintain the combustion of pulverized coal stable even theboiler load reduced to40%, with a high fule burn rate.Finaly, thermal experimental study of the burner was done in a stableconditions. The texting results shown that the high efficient pulverized coalindustry boiler burner, in actual operation, can make the fuel burn rate ofboiler system reach97.43%, the boiler average efficiency reach88.75%, soot,SO2and NOXemissions were significantly lower than national Ⅰclass area emissions standard.
