Contact mechanical seal common seal type. Terminal face of mechanica sealing ring during working site application.Particularly, wear behavior of the place which approach to outside diameter&iutside diameter is comparative serious. Even sealing ring appearance fracture because of thermal stress.this wiil lead to large size leaking and occuring danger operational mode.these phenomenons is caused by nonuniform temperature and pressure in sealing ring.In the paper, mechanical deformation and temperature field of seal is simulated with the finite element method software ANSYS according to above situation. First of all,the paper build geometric modeling on the basis of seal structue’s symmetry. then,we simulated the deformation of rotor ring and stationary ring by the force,and simulated temperature field by friction. However, force and thermal effects on the structure exist at the same time in practice. so we find the results of the above coupling, and ultimately the results come close to the actual deformation. At the same time, we simulate the temperature field and the deformation of the coupling field under different speed, and find out how speed affect temperature and deformation.Finally, we do experiment with the mechanical seal equipment in China Petroleum University. Through the experiment, comparing the size of the simulated leakage and the actual leakage.
