With the fast development of urban and rural economy and the improvement of the people’s life quality, the requirement to the reliability of electric energy supply of user has been more and more rigorous.Distribution system lies in the end of the power system, links power system and consumers together, it’s reliabilities directly influences the quality of electric energy for users. According to statistic,the80%of outage events due to the failure of distribution system.Therefore,the study on reliability evaluation of distribution system, finding the problems in system, improving the technology and management of power industry, reconstructing distribution network,which has a significant function to guarantee high quality service power of supply, promote the economical and social benefit.However,the distribution network has many components and it’s structure is cumbersome and complex, how to quickly and accurately assessment the reliability of distribution networks has become a very difficult and important task.According to the structural feature of the distribution network the main content of assessment research are as follows:(1)Introduce the domestic and international distribution network reliability assessment of research and development status, describe the distribution network reliability assessment and significance on the basis of consulting lots of literature, also the paper’s work and main tasks is involved.(2)Introduce the basic concepts of the distribution network; describe the characteristics of the distribution network components and different attributes of reliability evaluation model component, list network reliability assessment indicators and the assumptions of some conditions.(3)Focus on the structural characteristics of the distribution network, describe the process of complex distribution network equals into a simple network, at last a simple radial distribution network in different operating modes is comparative analyzed using FMEA method.(4)Introduce the Monte Carlo simulation of the basic concepts and sampling methods and convergence criteria, using MATLAB language preparation of the corresponding program, through the IEEE RBTS-6reliability assessment and F1bus systems in different operating modes for the analysis, evaluation results show that the method is effective and practical.
