In this paper ecosystem restoration of Qingshitan reservoir drawdown zone is taken as a case.The research is started with models of artificial vegetation recovery,the characteristical classification of reservoir drawdown zone, vegetation screening and technical support are considered in. and analysis is carried out based on the reservoir area soil, reservoir topography and vegetation experiment.the reservoir draw down zone is divided into five categories based on the consideration of the relationship between water level and time, vegetation, and the information of contour lines and slope of the reservoir drawdown zone, which is obtained by GIS(Geographic Information System).Based on the works mentioned above and past vegetation experiment, planting and management techniques, four modes are used to simulate the ecosystem restoration and reconstruction of Qingshitan reservoir drawdown zone.According to the principles of integrity, comprehensive and synthesis, the health evaluation factors of Qingshitan reservoir are determined, the weight of each factor in each level is analyzed by AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process), the membership matrix is established based on the ecosystem of Qingshitan reservoir drawdown zone after recovery planning, In accordance with the principle of he maximum membership degree, and by the fuzzy comprehensive calculation, the health of Qingshitan reservoir drawdown zone ecosystem is assessed.The result shows that the health level of the ecosystem after recovery is general healthy, and to some extent, the ecosystem of reservoir drawdown zone is improved. But, to achieve a healthy level, it is necessary to take some time to allow the ecosystem to mature, and in addition, more species of plants should be introduced as a support for the biodiversity.
