In recent years, the southeast coastal cities began planning andconstructing the coastal roads due to the economic development. There aremany problems because of lacking effective means of computer-aided inthe construction of the coastal roads. It makes a scientific, simple andintuitive computer visualization auxiliary methods is badly needed in theconstruction of the coastal roads riprap embankment.This paper systematically carried out studies in the following aspectsto simulate the construction process of the port highway.Firstly, Building the main modules of the riprap embankmentconstruction system research on the basis of consulting literatures domesticand foreign literature and detailed comparison of the design softwares,including: three-dimensional terrain DTM module, GIS interface module,design application analysis module, parametric graphic-aided designmodule, visual simulation module and analysis-output module.Secondly, it using Delaunay triangulation grid division to simulatethree-dimentional terrain and displayed via OpenGL platform afterresearching the three-dimentional terrain digital elevation model (DEM)modeling techniques. And then show the depth cloud images of the seabedtopography through a series of geometric algorithms.Then, it generates a3D road model through reading design data ofroad flat, vertical and cross aspects, using the split-integrated approach candescribed the structure of the road network better. It comes to the roadprogram mainly based on the a variety of basic theories and algorithms ofroad model. The parametric modeling method can facilitate the users tocreate a road model quickly to support calculation of work amount by thegeometric data. Finally, it comes to the dynamic calculation algorithm of riprapengineering calculation based on the general algorithm, then, it forms theinput interface which is connected to the database, and verifies thecorrectness of the program through comparison with the actual project.The results show that carrying out object-oriented programdevelopment by using C#language, OpenGL technology and the associatedcomputational algorithms can make simulation of the key links of the porthighway riprap embankment construction better, including the display ofthree-dimensional terrain, the simulation of port highwawy riprapembankment and dynamic display of the process of the construction.Theseare able to make the software as an important auxiliary tool in the porthighway riprap embankment construction.
