In the intersect axis of gear transmission, due to its advantages, such as smoothtransmission, strong bearing capacity, the spiral bevel gears have been widely applied tovarious fields of modern machinery. The spiral bevel gears are used in the high speed andheavy load condition, According to the complicated transmission process, in order to ensurethe reliability, strength and accuracy requirements of the spiral bevel gear, it is necessary todeeply research the dynamic and static meshing characteristics and the influences ofrelevant factors.Based on the meshing theory, the contact mechanics and dynamic principle, the3Dgeometrical model and the finite element mesh model are established. According to thedynamic and static characteristics of the spiral bevel gear, variation and conclusion of theinfluence of the relevant factors to the characteristics are obtained. The methods andconclusions involved provide some certain references for the design and processing of thespiral bevel gear. The main research works are summarized as follows:(1) According to the meshing theory, parametric design and modeling process of thebevel gear are researched, and the3D model is established. Based on the finite elementmethod, an reasonable finite hexahedral mesh model of the spiral bevel gear is establishedwhich make a good foundation for the dynamic and static analysis by contrasting andsummarizing the relative pretreatment methods and key settings of the spiral bevel gear.(2) Based on the reasonable finite element model and the contact mechanicsprinciple of the bevel gear, distribution of the tooth root bending stress and tooth facecontact stress of the bevel gear are obtained by using finite element software.Computational methods of the contact ratio, transmission error and the load distributioncoefficient are analyzed under a certain condition. According to the calculations, relativeresults of the parameters mentioned are obtained, and the influences of different loads to theparameter values(curves) are researched.(3) According to the dynamic principle, study on the dynamic mashing performanceof the spiral bevel gear is accomplished. Taking the influences, from damping, revolvingspeed, accelerated start time and load to bevel gear dynamic mashing performance, intoaccount, the changes of relative curves are reached. The affection degrees of the spiralbevel gear of some parameters are qualitatively given.
