The prestressed tensioning-bowstring technology has caught a lot of researchers’attention because of its structure in reason and easy to operation. In recent years, thetechnology began to apply in the big projects of engineering and the good results weregot in our country.The project of Harbin International Conference Exhibition and Sports Centerformed the background of the research. In the dissertation, the application of thetechnology to repair the curved downwards of the crane main beam was studied. Thestudies include operating design, counting the force of tension and pull, selecting thematerials for tensioning and so on. The studies would take technical supports to thewide application of the technology in the field of hoist in our country.In the dissertation the below works were done:a. the common repairing methods were analyzed for the crane beam in ourcountry. With the analysis the prestressed tensioning-bowstring technology wasstudied. The technology was showed feasible because it can keep longer stable periodafter repairing and get the gliding curve and make higher degree of precision andcontrol optionally. And the method operated easily, took only a short time and lowprice, did not damage the main beam. It was an effective viable technology andmethod.b. the operating principle of prestressed tensioning-bowstring technology wasstudied with the finite element software and the simulation of repairing engineeringwith the method of prestressed-jack. The force of tension and pull were calculatedwith the cross-section analysis. These gave the technical supports to application. Thecharacteristic of materials for tensioning was studied which could apply to thetechnology. The selecting rules of the materials were confirmed.c. applied the technology to several projects, for example double beam bridgecrane repaired. The results showed that the repairing of curved downwards of thecrane main beam met the relative demand of national standard. The main beamsrepaired had expecting effect.
