Rapidly growing global and domestic automotive industry has boosted furtherelectrical implementation and integration in the recent years. Increasing usage level ofelectrical system and components often take up over30%of whole vehicle cost, packaging all those complex electrical system and component together become amajor challenge and make EMC never important as now.And Electrical MagneticCompatibility (EMC) play a major roles both in component reliability and safetyrequirement while vehicle is moving.Automotive EMC which studies both the unintentional generation and receptionof electromagnetic energy with reference to the unwanted effects that such energymay induce. Increasing application of1meter radiated emissions test make it primemethod in testingAutomotive electrical system and component EMC, andmethodology study on1meter radiated emissions test plays significant role invalidatingAutomotive electrical system component EMC standard compliant withGB.This article will focus on commonality and difference on EMC internationalstandard, China National GB and corporate standard. And further studies on these4areas: testing measuring method calibration, effects of component size, testing rigmaterial, and alternatives to conventional receiving antenna. Study methods includestesting record comparison and reasoning to rationalize1meter radiated emissions test,to provide technical support toAutomotive system and component EMC testing, andaim to improve domestic EMC test ability to incorporation international standard.
