The Integrated Design Strategy Of Urban Rail Transportation Hub And Commercial Space

Nowadays is the period of great development of China’s urban rail transit, andurban space as well as the feature of intensive trends have become more notable.Commerce is one of the most basic function of a city, while the traffic plays the role ofarteries in the city logistics. In the history of urban development, these two elementshave always been closely associated and their level of the development and integrationreflect a city’s vitality and efficiency.The passenger flow brought by modern rail transportation can add more vitality tocollective business, while, the commercial development, to a certain extent, can nurturethe property construction of rail transportation.Therefore, it is one of the important direction of intensive development in thefuture of urban space that taking the relationship between rail transit and commercialspace as an object of study, and conducting both comprehensive development anddesign.In this paper, through the effective theory of Related Urban Development, as wellas economic, social and other cities, the reasonableness and necessity of rail transit andthe comprehensive development of the commercial space was demonstrated. Due to thefact that commercial space is usually located in the rail transportation hub and the city’s"intermediary space", the author made use of the connotation of the classical theory forextension, summed up the characteristics of the comprehensive development of all typesof commercial space. Meanwhile, the author analyzed the traffic transfer, businessbehavior, the characteristics of engineering and technical and other factors, which couldimpact the design of commercial space of rail transportation hub. Based on a more in-depth study on the design object as well as the impact factors, combining the cases ofhome and abroad, the author summed up a series of integrated design strategies for railtransportation hub and commercial space.Finally, in practical research aspects, the author depended on a recent participationin a practical project-Chongqing Jiangbei Airport T3A Terminal integrated transporthub, which acted as a carrier to verify the "integrated" design strategies in this research,and summed up the realistic key facts and problems of the implementation of theintegral design of rail transportation hub and commercial space to provide a reliableidea for the related type of construction of commercial space designed； at the same time, hoping to promote work in all areas by drawing upon the experience gained onkey points, the author, in an architectural design point of view, conducted a preliminaryexploration on how to ease the contradiction of urbanization and to improve the urbanstructure.
