With economic development and people’s material and cultural needs increasing, into the21st century, the building of the transportation hub in China has entered a new period. The commercial space of transportation junction in the transportation junction and the surrounding areas the proportion of growing commitment to the social function is increasingly important. At the same time, Japanese transportation junction and its surrounding commercial space building into a relatively mature period. Cultural concept for East Asian countries have many similarities, the same population density in the big city is too large, the same need to rely on rail transport to improve the efficiency of the city.In this context, this article use urban design, transportation junction and its surrounding commercial space, through field research on China and Japan, six more than a dozen transportation hub site and its surrounding commercial space and summarized in contrast, urban design theory, space theory, research and analysis on the current situation of the transport hub and its surrounding commercial space, from the relationship with the city, the internal spatial organization as a communication space, and four cultural aspects of the transport hub and its surrounding commercial space summarized and analyzed and discussed. A Comparative Study of the impact of the above factors on the transport hub and its surrounding commercial space and their mutual relations by example, summed up the conclusions and research experience of the purpose of building space in order to emphasize the dialogue with the city, efficient and open space for future transport hub and its surrounding commercial space designed to provide the basis and recommendations.
