Along with the development of the modern generation, new material and new productsand new technology appear constantly, in product installation test and operation process,often happen brittle fracture accident, most accidents in less than materials when yield limithappening, and the loss is especially serious.Roller wheel as the most critical force components in the compaction machine,itsreliability directly affects the reliablity of the entire machine,economy and service life.Though the whole structures of roll wheel is simple,since there are steps,and stressconcentration phenomenon is quite serious,many factors affect its overall performance.Thepractice shows that the fatigue fracture is the main failure modes,bearing role of thealternating load on the shaft at both ends is the main reasons of fatigue failure of the wheelaxis.This paper referring to the extensive literature on the basis of around coal compactorwheel shaft fracture problem do same discussed research.The main content of this paper is asfollows:1.Brief introduction to the various measures taken at home and abroad in order toprevent the loss of coal during transport,reviewing the problem of losing effectiveness,and tointroduce the features and functions of the coal compactor,and;laid the foundation forsubsequent work.2.The application of fatigue strength theory to verfy the fatigue strength of the wheelshaft,using fracture mechanics theory of knowledge (the cumulative damage theory)tosetimate the safe life of the wheel axis.Given some of the measures to improve the fatiguestength of the wheel shaft.3.By using the finite element software(ANSYS)to build simple roll wheel of finiteelement model,including reasonable create solid model,choose reasonable unit types and useof the finite element mesh and node enough,reasonable load and displacement on boundaryconditoins,reasonable option,the statcs calulation and analysis,concluded the the stress ofrolling wheel cloud,then use the software fatigue analysis module,rolling wheel of fatigueanalysis.4.Through the above analysis,to provide a theoretical basis for the designation orimprovement of the wheel shaft,thereby exending the working life of the wheel shaft.
