Because of bearing effects of repeated vehicle loads and undergoing long-term effectsfrom natural factors, which seriously affected the road performance, resulting in earlydestruction of the pavement. But the regular cycle detection schemes are not consistent withthe pavement performance; Test too often cause the waste of manpower and funds,Testfrequency too sparse cause can’t timely maintenance and the formation of potential safetyproblems, and affects the road life.Therefore, the search for the optimal inspection time forroad maintenance has become a problem to be solved.Due to variability and randomness of the influence factor,This paper will be on theregression analysis for pavement performance parameters to research the general rules ofmean and variance, and then find out the optimal mean-variance model,bring about theestimating of pavement performance. proving data distribution function, finally confirmreliability model based on the variance. This reliability model has the full consideration ofprobability distribution form and variability of the traffic data.Through the compartion onreliability and the reliability of the prescribed limits propose theindexes of the best test timewith highway.making the road detection and changes of surface properties in consistent,thusreducing the number of unnecessary road performance testing and improving the accuracy.
