Since July2010, Wuhan Rail Transit Line1opened on inception, rail transport hasbecome the core of the city of Wuhan Hankou District’s main public transport space. Atthe same time, it also marks the first Wuhan city have urban rail transit, and is built on theground across the board over the viaduct-style rail. Metro Line1to facilitatetransportation in the city at the same time, TOD theory in Wuhan, local practice hasstarted.Metro Line1from the location of the site, almost runs through the heart of Hankow. The most of26sites were built on Jinghan Avenue and Jiefang Avenue—West from theDongwu Avenue, east to the Dijiao Avenue of North Hankou, along the entire rail trafficthrough the main city of Hankou, and connect the city’s several sub-center. Therefore, while the urban space around the site along with a typical, can be used as a clue of urbanspace; the other hand, rail transport on the original site of implantation of the specificeffects of urban space and the resulting correlation between them, interaction mechanisms, can be used as space for future integration of rail transport and urban development basedon the reality. In this paper, combing with the urban rail transport concepts, clearly Wuhan RailTransit Line1specificity. Then classified by field research study of a typical site, andfrom various sites around the point of view of urban spatial form, to study the morphologyof urban space associated with a site. Then, from the rail transport and urban integration ofthe point of view updates, make the integration of recommendations, and with anengineering example studied in this paper to prove the theory. Finally, this papersummarizes the main conclusions and limitations, and require further work.
