This article describes a readout electronics system for a Wedge strip Anode.The system’s main task is to acquisition the electric charge value, which is theWedge Strip Anode output three pulse signals. On this basic, the system canachieve the position distinguishing of the Wedge Strip Anode. The system cancontrol the time and logic of each circuit module through FPGA. The functional:Analog signal shaping and sampling, compare screening threshold, pulse peakholding and peak position detecting and ADC analog to digital conversion etc.Through FPGA internal data cache and process, at last, the data transmission tothe computer via the USB protocol through the UART-USB chip, for theanalysis software to read and analyze.First, the theoretical basis section discusses the basic principles of theanode detector and micro channel plate work. Explain the sources andcharacteristics of the analog signal which is to be sampling of the system.In the hardware design section, this article describes in detail the signalconditioning, baseline restoration, peak hold module and FPGA core and otherparts of the circuit design and hardware implementation.In the part of software design, the article describes in detail the design ofthe FPGA internal timing logic and data processing, including: the timingcontrol of the front-end analog circuits, the readout timing of the ADC analog todigital converter, internal FIFO buffer, design and implementation of the datatransmission interface.At last, the article describes part of the test experimental results of thereadout electronic system, and the experimental imaging results with theMicro-channel plate combined with Wedge Strip Anode. It verified theperformance of the system preliminarily.
