The highway construction has been going into the maintenance transformation period insome economically developed areas of China, coupled with the early damage of the asphaltpavement is more serious, a lot of road trenches disease is found in some asphalt pavement.These trenches disease have broad range, different time of occurrence and different shapes. Ifyou do not repair, the damage area will be further expanded. Asphalt road with pit to repairthe road maintenance department is a very onerous task.If not repaired in time,it will givetraffic a great deal of inconvenience.The trenches repair materials is more limited, existing trenches repair materials generallyrequire large roller rolling to forming dense, which would undermine the strength of theoriginal road, and some special sections are not suitable for large-scale roller roleurgent.Sowe need to design a trenches repair materials which have good road performance, simple touse, and does not require roller compacted to dense forming. In this paper, theself-compacting asphalt mixture is designed for existing trenches repair materials have specialproperties that can rely on its own liquidity forming dense, no large-scale roller rollercompacted, and it is very simple to use.This paper put forward its technical requirements based on self-compacting asphaltmixture for occasions, and accordingly selected from the asphalt, gradation optimization,self-compacting asphalt mixture performance evaluation, the Road Performance verificationwork. First, with reference to the current asphalt technical specifications, according to by alarge number of laboratory tests to select eight kinds of asphalt binder and found the fourkinds of asphalt are better. Second, research the recommended gradation of self-compactingasphalt mixture, and gradation optimization, focusing on self-compacting asphalt mixturefluidity evaluation method and indicators, and their application to situations described in.Finally, by Lueer test, penetration testing,high temperature rut test,low point bending test,freezing and thawing splitting test to study the workability and the road performance ofself-compacting asphalt mixture and found that self-compacting asphalt mixture is anexcellent material used in trenches repair of asphalt pavement.
