The Rubber asphalt mixture has a good pavement performance and significant socialeconomic value, in recent years more and more applications have been taken in highwaypavement engineering. However, the viscosity of rubber asphalt in the temperature conditionis too high, so that the rubber asphalt mixture mix and compaction temperature are far higherthan ordinary asphalt mixture, which not only affect the construction performance seriously,but also restrict the scale applications of rubber asphalt mixture.TOR could improve the performance of the rubber asphalt by chemical means, at thesame time reduce the viscosity of rubber asphalt under high temperature and perfect theconstruction workability of the mixture. While the use of TOR completely rely on theforeign imports and the high prices often make the Construction Units feel deterred. Thisthesis use the TOR developed by domestic company to modify the rubber asphalt and itsmixture, and compare with the import TOR, aiming to verify the practice value of thedomestic TOR.This thesis on the basis of the study of the rubber asphalt function mechanism,summarizes the evaluation of rubber asphalt performance indicators at home and abroad, andthrough the laboratory experiments to determine the optimum technology made the rubberasphalt that using40mesh rubber powder and SK70#matrix asphalt: The Rubber powdercontent account for20%, reaction temperature is (180to200)℃the reaction time is60min,and a high-speed shearing method is well-used for process. Based on this process andcombined with TOR’s mechanism of action, preparing rubber asphalt with different content ofTOR and testing all aspects of the performance. The results indicate that the domestic TORcan significantly improve the high-temperature viscosity and storage stability of rubberasphalt, and make the high and low temperature performance further improved.This thesis discusses the mix design methods and indicators of rubber asphalt mixture,on this basis, through the analysis of the relativity between temperature, the porosity ofasphalt mixture and the directly test of construction workability tester, researching theworkability and performance of the rubber asphalt mixture containing the domestic TOR. The results indicate that the domestic TOR can significantly improve the workability andperformance of the rubber asphalt mixture make the construction temperature reduce15℃~25℃. And the performance of the road with the mixture shows that the domestic TOR canfurther promote the reaction of the rubber powder and asphalt in the rubber asphalt mixtureprepared through the dry process, further improve the road performance of the mixture andrestraint the possible disease caused by the dry process.This thesis determines the great significance of the TOR applied in rubber asphalt and itsmixture, comparing with the imported TOR, the domestic TOR have huge advantage on theprice on the basis of the guaranteed performance, which will advance the application ofdomestic TOR in the rubber asphalt mixture, and is a good opportunity to promote thedevelopment of rubber powder in asphalt pavement.
