Because of our country’s highway is experiencing from coastal areas in to themainland, and from the plain to the valley in the hilly region development trend,By limitof the terrain, building road in these areas usually to cross canyon road, deep ditch and badtopography condition, the high piers of large span prestressed concrete bridge more andmore being used in highway. Due to the high piers of long span continuous rigid more andmore used the high strength materials and thin-walled structure, so the stability problem isparticularly important. In this paper a PC continuous rigid frame in the west for the engineering background,Around the prestressed concrete continuous rigid-frame bridge in the biggest cantileverstage developed stability study. Complete the following several aspects of the maincontent:The basic theory of stability and the method through the finite element method tosolve the stability problem of structure;By8#pier and11#pier of this bridge forrepresentative to the two piers stability analysis on their own, application large finiteelement common software ANSYS study different piers instability mode and thecorresponding instability forms;According to the design standard calculating bridge wereten years and hundred years in a wind load, studying the different working conditions ofthe material nonlinear and the double nonlinear stability analysis, then compared thecalculated results;Through change different parameters to analyse the stability influencingfactor in the biggest cantilever stage and puts forward some beneficial Suggestions fordesign.Through the above analysis we get: the stability analysis of continuous rigid frameshould be considering the influence of the double nonlinear;linked the left picture and rightpicture bridge in the construction stage of continuous rigid frame bridges can increase itslateral stability, but by increasing the inertia of the beam to improve its lateral stabilitydoes not play a significant role; Add two thin-wall piers is tied across between beam canincrease its longitudinal stability; Along with the increase of the pier slenderness ratios, continuous rigid frame construction stage vertical and lateral stability are reduced.
