With the rapid development of highway of Shaanxi province, passenger traffic volume increasingrapidly and the road traffic flow increasing, old xi-tong highway had a serious shortage of traffic capacity.At the same time,with heavy vehicles increasing,the old xi-tong highway was the appearance of a largenumber of damage, such as crack and rutting, which was largely caused by insufficient shear strengthbetween the asphalt surface layer and layer or bad integrity between base and surface. In TechnicalSpecifications for Construction of Highway Asphalt Pavements,the Treatment Process provision for theinterlayer of asphalt Pavement and the top surface of the base was simple,and there was only Generaldescription of the Construction for tack coat,prime coat and seal coat,which caused that the interlayermaterials could not provide adequate shear strength and achieve the purpose of waterproof. So,accordingto the traffic and the environmental of xi-tong highway, studied the technology of interlayer treatment oftotal life cycle asphalt pavement on xi-tong expressway has great significant and using value.On the basis of sufficient references of research results at home and abroad, using the method ofcombining theory with practice, this study calculate and analyze the impact of stress of the interlayer ofasphalt Pavement by the horizontal load,and the effect of shear stress towards different load and roadcontact state between layers with Bisar3.0, and exploring the effects rule of parameters to the interlayershear stress. Through many experiments and various methods, the paper carries out a detailed study on themain factors that affect road performances of interlayer materials which includes materials type, dosage,temperature, construction technology and so on. Self-developed multiple functions tier material shearsinstrument is used for the material of prime coat,tack coat,seal coat,which commonly used, in order totest the adhesion,recommend material type and optimum dosage of interlayer treatment and put forwardthe assessment indicator of road performance on interlayer materials. Depends on entity project, this paperdesigned many kinds of technical scheme about interlayer treatment and trial road was built to verify thestudy results of laboratory research. Combines with the domestic machinery and level of construction atpresent, this study proposes the key technology of xi-tong highway total life cycle asphalt pavement theconstruction quality control of interlayer treatment.
