Our country and local construction a lot of long distance water diversion project, for easethe contradiction between supply and demand of water resources.The imperfection ofrelevant technical standards lack of scientific management system and the complexity ofproject itself, lead the serious accidents in China long water pipeline。This paper summarizes the source and formation of gas and two-phase flow pattern andsix mutual conversion in the long water pipeline, analysis the movement of air in water pipe,the water hammer type and booster; Briefly introduced the characteristic line method of waterhammer calculation theory, c++language programming of water hammer computation.This paper details the comprehensive and detailed analysis of the water hammer contentincluding Stable running condition, first water filling condition, rev. Pump (after suddenlystopping pump)condition, flow adjusting condition, stop the pump condition in long distancewater pipeline.This paper Emphatically summarizes the structure, working principle,characteristics of commonly used water hammer protection equipment including slowlyclosing check valve, exhaust valve, pressure relief valve, wo-way tower and air pressuretank in long distance pressure water pipeline with low-lift, big–diameter,multi-fluctuation,for practical engineering choosing water hammer protective equipment provides the choicebasis.In this paper, I study the water hammer analysis and protection in long distance pressurewater pipeline with low-lift or big–diameter and multi-fluctuation. Also votes five kindsof water hammer protection scheme including installing slowly-closing check valve in pumpexport, exhaust valve in the key parts of pipeline, two-way regulating tower and air pressuretank, and finally confirms the effective water hammer protection scheme and importantconclusions and gives some suggestions hoping that the research contents of in this paperhave reference meaning and reference value for similar projects.
