Since traffic accident became one of the biggest threats to human, and the casualties inChina, especially the outside-car road-user, are in the top10of the whole world, traffic safetyis a popular subject worldwide and paid wide attention to. With in-depth statistic analysis andprecise simulation, it can provide data support to analysis of accident, reducing accident rateand casualties. This research states wide and deep investigation results of car-cycle accidents, damage characteristics of cyclists, which provides effective data support to the analysis ofcar-cycle collision accidents. On the other hand, this article provides a method throughcomputer software, which provides certain reference to the research on kinematical processand injury mechanism of the cyclists.By collecting hundreds of car-cycle accidents, analyzing the features of the factors, which include the reasons to the accidents, the form and severity of injury, vehicle type, speed, road and environmental condition, the statistics results can be used to provide useful datasupport to the research on the injury mechanism of cyclists.By analyzing the injury mechanism and animation path of cyclists under collisions withdifferent type of vehicles, different speeds, and different crash points, the correlativity ofinjury mechanism between mainly factors are achieved, the typical collision form as well, which can be the important reference to road traffic accident analysis.By building vehicle, cycle, man and road3D models in Multigen Creator, and driving themodels in Visual Studio combined with OpenSceneGraph, the article shows a effectivemethod to simulating accident process, and successfully made an animation of typicalcar-cycle collision process.
