The Failure Analysis Of Thermal Power Generator Set And Research On Improvement

With the rapid development of power industry, power plants usuallychoose equipment with high capacity which demands higher standard ofsecurity and reliability. Nowadays, many studies have been conducted on thefault diagnosis for main equipment,but few studies on the auxiliaryequipment.So the systematic studies on auxiliary water engines,especiallycondensate pump are necessary. This paper studies the fault diagnosis topower plants.Firstly,we studied the faults caused by vibration of the equipment inpower plants and did corresponded analysis. We studied rotor unbalance,misalignment, the basis of resonance, steam eclipse etc. and proposedcorresponded solutions for those failures.Secondly,we compared three methods of failure diagnosis and decidedto conduct diagnosis based on the rule-based classification principle. Thismethodology was proved to be more reliable and precise.Finally, the established rule of fault diagnosis is applied to the problemof a power plant condensate pump vibration to find the reason of thecondensate pump vibration. The results showed that the main reason of theproblem of the water pump is resonance. The comparison of modal finiteelement analysis and the measured data verified that the model is reasonable.We use modal analysis to guide the process of plant transformation, improvethe natural frequency of the cylinder to avoid the rotational speed of theresonance peak through strengthening the stiffness of the base cylinder. Thenwe can solve the problem that the value of vibration may be too large duringthe inverter operation and achieve the power plant needs of the energy-savingeffect.
