As a significant kind of renewable energy, photovoltaic (PV) powerhas been an important part of Chinese energy strategy. Yet PV energyhighly depends on the weather condition, the output of PV plant isunstable. So it is meaningful to research PV grid-connect plant modeling. In this thesis, the main goal is to design a digital/physical hybrid PVgrid-connect system in RTDS (Real Time Digital Simulator) platform. Thedigital/physical hybrid simulation is one of promising research tools forpower system analysis. It is more convenient and easier to expend thanphysical experiment while it is more accurate and convincing than puredigital simulation tools.Firstly, this thesis introduces current research situation of PVgrid-connect system modeling and different ways of power systemsimulation analysis. Digital/physical hybrid simulation method for PVplants is the focus. After discussion of interface between digital systemand physical system and processor assignment, global design of hybridsystem has been introduced. As a consequence, hybrid real time PVsystem which may fulfill maximum power point tracking (MPPT) functionand grid-connecting control function is built in RTDS. Then simulationresults of the hybrid system and comparison with pure digital system are investigated. At last, the author summarizes the whole work in this thesis and lookinto the future task on this hybrid simulation platform.
