| Baosteel is the3rdlargest steel-making company in the world. Electricpower is one of the necessary energy for steel production. For the large scalemanufacturing company as Baosteel, the safety of electric power systemoperation has great significance.Generally, Baosteel’s power system can be divided into phase1andphase3which voltage ranges from220KV to3KV. Equipped with four biggenerators, total power generation capacity of Baosteel amounts1200MVA.This paper focuses on the system stability when Baosteel’s internalsystem disconnected with outer power grid. Based on componentscharacters and system modeling, the paper apply BPA and EMTP tools tocalculate and analyze the static stability and dynamic stability underdifferent circumstance including system phase1independence and phase3independence. At the end, the paper gives the conclusion and suggestion offurther improvement for Baosteel electric power system in order to increasethe system stability and safety. |
