The ships degaussing is an important method of defending mineattack and airborne magnetic detection. It is a complex system,involving many domains, such as electromagnetics, cybernetics,electronic circuit and electric system. Thanks to the prior study,we arenow more mature in this area. How to realize the fartherintelligentization of demagnetization is becoming one of questions thatneed to consider firstly in designing the degaussing station.The prerequisite to achieve an intelligent decision-making ofdegaussing is to understand the basic methods of artificialdecision-making theory. The artificial decision-making is mainly basedon the relation of the coil’s combination working parameters with thedegaussing results.Firstly, the paper analyses the combination method of thedegaussing coil, compensation coil and the coil degaussing effects ofdifferent parameters. It also provides a theoretical basis, the specificcurve and parameters for the establishment of degaussingdecision-making expert knowledge system.Secondly, it discusses static and dynamic state of thedecision-making methods in degaussing research, the establishment of a new expert system for decision-making of the degaussing. Then, itanalyses the impact of current decision-making by the changes oftide-induced ship location. Based on discussing the advantages andweaknesses of several conversion methods, determines to use themagnetic dipole simulating ship magnetic field method.To sum up, according to the actuality of lack of degaussing station,the paper designs function, structure and work processes that shouldsuit the actual work situation of the new decision-making expert system.So that it can be constructed and applied in the warship’s degaussing inthe entire area.
